Jaguar will bring back station wagons with the XF Sportbrake

Jaguar once built station wagons, but they were at risk of disappearing. With the F-Pace, most people agreed it would not have another station wagon in its portfolio, but Jaguar has reconsidered that. And it will launch a new model in 2017, the 2nd generation XF Sportbrake. And Autopista.es has uncovered the prototype Jaguar has presented with the image above.

The new model is expected to emerge in a major auto show, such as Geneva or Frankfurt. Autopista.es bets on Frankfurt, but we believe it is going to appear earlier. Since it is based on the XF, it will share most of its technical specifications and engines. Expect a “shooting brake” that is 4.95 m long, 1.99 m wide, 1.46 m tall and with a 2.96 m wheelbase. With a range of engines that go from 2.0-liter gasoline and turbodiesels up to 3.0-liter V6, also run by petrol or diesel, from 120 kW until 280 kW.

Even though i’m not a “stationary” man (or cat KKKKKK) I must admit that despite the white color – other item not even close to my liking – It really seems to be a work of art. Diesel? Whatever. Stunning Station Sweet Savior!

    • Isn’t it? A good competitor to the E-Class, the V90 and all the others that may emerge, such as A6, 5-Series and so on…

Good point. Didn’t connected it to those competitors, but put this way you are absolutely right. And you mentioned the V90, another beautiful design solution for this “theme”.
