Rumours of a new Opel GT are frequent, but now it seems we have a fairly good sign it will happen. Below you have Opel CEO Karl-Thomas Neumann review of 2015. Pay attention to what he says from 3:20 on.
According to the German car magazine Autobild, Neumann makes reference to the GT concept itself, a car that has been anticipated by many other concepts, such as the Monza. It will be presented, as the executive has stated, at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show.
Apparently, there are no conditionals for the 2+2 sports car to make it to production. It will probably happen in 2018, with a price tag around 25,000 euros, or a little more than US$27,000. It will be powered by a variety of four-cylinder turbo petrol engines, with the most powerful one able to reach 221 kW.
Geneva will be a disputed destination in March 2016.
