This is how the next Volvo S60 will be, according to L’Automobile

We have already brought you the appearance of the future Volvo XC60, according to the French magazine L’Automobile. And it apparently has very good sources at the Swedish carmaker, since they have now tried to imagine how the new generation of the S60 will look like. The car is expected to be presented only by 2018, but the brand identity and the Thor hammer headlights surely help the artists that try to predict the future.

The new S60 will be built over the SPA architecture, the same one that has been first presented by the XC90 and that is now at the S90 and also the V90. According to L’Automobile, it will be a smaller S90, with a total length between 4.63 m to 4.70 m and a lower weight. The engines will present no surprises: all of them will be the 2.0 Drive E, either drinking petrol or diesel. There may be room for the new 3-cylinder engine Volvo is developing, as well as for a hybrid version of the sedan. The transmission will be an 8-speed Aisin automatic gearbox, already offered by its older brothers.
