Nissan starts to show how the production Datsun rediGO will be in production guise

The presentation of the production version of the Datsun rediGO is only 3 days away, but Nissan does not want to keep things to itself and has released the first renderings of the rediGO people will be able to buy. The ones you see in this post.

The images show a car that is pretty similar to its concept version. The new Datsun rediGO shares its platform with the Renault Kwid: both are built over the CMF-A platform. Hence, the rediGO should have similar dimensions to the Kwid, or around 3.68 m long, 1,58 m wide, 1.48 m tall and has a wheelbase of 2.42 m. The trunk will probably can carry up to 300 l of luggage, like the Renault, and the engine should be the same 0.8 3-cylinder engine that generates 40 kW at 5,678 rpm and 72 Nm at 4,386 rpm. It will propel a car that will weigh around 660 kg.

It is very likely that, due to the success of the Renault Kwid, Nissan also tries to sell its CMF-A car in markets where Datsun is not offered. Let’s wait to see how the new car will be received in India, where the presentation is slated to happen next April 14.
