This is the first official image of the front of the new TVR

We are among the people who are anxious for the official reveal of the new TVR, codenamed T37 and built with the help of Gordon Murray. Last year, we brought the first image of the car that the company has released. It was a side view and we had some doubts if it was not solely an Autocar rendering that the new TVR used to give its future car a preliminary appearance. It was not. The sports car is now under wraps at the London Motor Show. And this is the first image of the front of the car.

We know it is not very revealing, but at least it respects the brand’s heritage, with the Griffith and the Tuscan. And the wait will not be long. The T37’s base engine will be the Ford Coyote 5.0 V8. The car will weigh less than 1,100 kg and will compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, possibly in 2017. It will be produced in Wales according to the new iStream production method created by Gordon Murray.

The company is taking reservations for the £ 65,000 (US$ 94,000) and has received 400 so far. For a car that has not even been presented and that should only start deliveries in 2017. We hope it is as fantastic as any car that weighs 1,150 kg and has an output of 300 kW is supposed to be.
