Remember the surprise we have mentioned yesterday which Renault Sport would be preparing? The French automaker has released today one more teaser of the future car, and it is clearly a Twingo, as you can see above. It may be named Twingo GT, but what if it adopts the RS badge as well?
The image is in Renault’s Twitter account and has been published with the following message: “[TEASER] Now you get it? Did you really think @RenaultSport would stop now? To be continued… #LetsRaceTogether”. Yesterday, it has released the image below. What is it? A spoiler? An air intake?
The regular Twingo is 3.59 m long, 1.64 m wide, 1.55 m tall and has a wheelbase of 2.49 m. It shares its platform with the smart forfour and it is the first rear-engine, rear-wheel drive Twingo. It is powered by a 0.9 TCe turbocharged petrol engine, which delivers 66 kW at 5,500 rpm, and by a a 1.0 Sce 70 engine, naturally aspirated, that delivers 52 kW at 6,000 rpm. What this new Twingo would bring, besides a new suspension setup and bigger wheels and tires? Which engine could it offer? Share your thoughts with us on the comments box!
