The guys from Autoblog have managed to obtain pictures of the new Hyundai Ioniq without any camo. The car was going through some filming, probably to the press material that will be released when it is presented in South Korea in January and at the 2016 New York Auto Show in March.
It is possible to see the new car, which will be offered in hybrid, plug-in hybrid and pure electric versions, will have an entirely new front grille. DRLs are placed in the niches where we normally find fog lamps and the headlights have a LED signature as well. Its engine is supposed to be a 1.6 four-cylinder with direct injection, but also with a different burning cycle, possibly Miller or Atkinson.
The Ioniq also has an ascending belt line, much more sporty than that of most of its competitors. The rear window is smal, but it seems to be divided in two, with the second part placed among the tail lights, as the Citroën C4 VTR used to do. Or the black section between the tail lights has another function that we cannot even guess.
