The Fiat X1H will be named Mobi. No Topolino for Brazil…

The Brazilian website Blogauto has ended up with the mystery surrounding the name of the new A segment Fiat hatchback. Developed under the codename X1H, it could have been related to the new Topolino that will be released in Europe, as we have told our readers some days ago. But it won’t have anything to do with it. The new Brazilian Fiat will be named Mobi, according to the website, and we can confirm that with patent registrations provided by the Brazilian patent office, the INPI.

In the image above, taken from the INPI website, there is the pending request for the Mobi name, which will be applied to “vehicles, automobiles, sports cars, commercial vehicles…”, the registration category for car, obviously.

The new car will be launched with the same 1.0 four-cylinder Fire engine used by its siblings. The new engine it was expected to introduce, the 1.0 three cylinder aluminum GSE (Global Small Engine) will only start production in August 2016. The Fiat Mobi will be presented in the first half of next year.
