LEAKED! – Check the production version of the 2017 Lincoln Continental

The first low resolution image we have used here was courtesy of Ford Inside News. The forum has obtained this image from a Lincoln leak, probably from a thumbnail destined to the official website of the new car. No problem. A new picture has emerged from Chris Doane. They are enough for us to have an idea what the Lincoln Continental Concept, shown at the 2015 New York Auto Show, has turned into after receiving the production treatment. And we must say it is not bad! Check the concept below.

There is no information on dimensions, but the car will probably be all wheel drive, in order to compensate for the lack of a pure rear wheel drive platform. The only one available today for Ford is the Mustang’s in the USA. Elsewhere, there is also the Falcon’s, in Australia, but this one is faded to disappear unless Ford finds a Guido Dumarey of its own.

As for the engine, it will be a 298 kW 3.0 GTDI V6, even if we really believe such a car would deserve a V8 under its hood. And this V6 is already under the hood of the MKZ, a smaller and less luxurious ride. The official presentation of the car will happen at the 2016 NAIAS, next week, so much more details are just about to follow.
