Ferrari’s main attraction in Geneva will be the GTC4 Lusso, FF’s replacement

Ferrari normally has a special attraction for each edition of the Geneva Motor Show. This year it has already revealed its “surprise”. It will be the new four-wheel drive GTC4Lusso, or the restyled FF, if you prefer. For Ferrari fans, the good news is that its V12 is still naturally aspirated. No turbo for you, FF.

While it has not received any air booster of any kind, the 6.2 V12 engine is more powerful on the GTC4Lusso. It has gone from 486 kW and 683 Nm to 507 kW and 697 Nm. With these changes, top speed is now 335 km/h and the car takes only 3.4 s to reach 100 km/h from standstill, a 0.3 s shave in acceleration.

The other changes refer mostly to aerodynamic improvements, such as the front and rear bumpers with new air intakes and new air vents, respectively. There is also a roof-mounted spoiler and side air vents, just behind the front wheel arches. Even if they look similar, the headlights are entirely new, as are the tail lights, which are now in double on each side of the car.

Although the outside differences are important, buyers will really dig the new interior of the GTC4Lusso. It now presents a 10.25-inch central screen, a smaller steering wheel and even a dashboard for the front passenger to follow what the driver is doing, and at what speed they are travelling, without the need of looking to the left and risking a stiff neck.

Speaking of what the driver can do, Ferrari has now announced the Slip Side Control, a rear-wheel steering system that works with the electronic dampers and differential. The Italian company says they are perfect to handle slippery terrains, such as snow-covered roads, muddy places and so forth.

There is no word on when sales will begin nor on how much this new beauty will cost, but it will probably start to be delivered right after the Geneva Motor Show. And it should cost more than the current FF. Fair enough.
