One of the main attractions for the 2016 Geneva Motor Show will surely be the Bugatti Veyron successor, the Chiron. And Bugatti knows it perfectly. This is why the company has placed a giant countdown in its website in order for fans to control their anxiety in a timely manner. Or pull their hairs with a timer, who knows? It’s the final countdown!
There are some things we already know about the car. Its first customer, for example, will be Michel Perridon, a Dutch businessman. All potential buyers have already been contacted and have seen the vehicle in person, so it will be no surprise for them to see the final model. The ones that decided to buy the Chiron had to leave a refundable 200,000 euro deposit in order not to lose the chance to have it.
Preliminary information state the car will have the same 8.0 W16 engine that was used by the Veyron, but with an increased power, close to 1,100 kW. Two of its four turbocharger are said to be electric, what will decrease (if not finish at all) any turbo lag and help it save fuel. With that kind of power, the Chiron will be able to go from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.3 s and to reach a top speed of over 450 km/h.
