The new Alfa Romeo Giulia is about to be presented in its other versions apart from the Quadrifoglio, but ICS Photography has managed to obtain official images and information on the car before that. And here is all they have revealed. Considering the pictures, we believe we have the entry-level (below), the intermediate (above, with chromed frames on the windows) and the Quadrifoglio versions of the car. The first 2 have never been seen in their final production forms!
The new sedan will have 6 engine options. Besides the 375 kW 2.9 V6 for the Quadrifoglio, it will also offer a 2.0 4 cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that will offer 132 kW and 184 kW. This last version is still not certain, but it will probably be part of the line-up.
All the other engines will be turbodiesel units. The 2.2 JTDm 4-cylinder turbodiesel will be offered in 99 kW, 132 kW and 162 kW. One that is not certain to appear is the 3.0 JTDm V6 TwinTurbo, able to offer up to 221 kW. If Alfa decides to sell it, it will take a while for it to reach the brand’s dealers.
The new Giulia will basically offer an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. All-wheel drive will be sold in some versions and the 6-speed manual may become a Quadrifoglio exclusive feature. Or an option for the other versions of Alfa Romeo’s return to rear-wheel drive.
