LEAKED! – Check the official images of the new Volvo V90

The presentation of the new Volvo V90 was expected to happen only in February 18, but leaks never respect deadlines. And here are the official images of the new station wagon, one that promises to turn many heads. Especially those that today fancy SUVs so much.

The Swedish magazine Teknikens Värld had already revealed images of the station wagon, but not in so many angles as the official leaked images allow us to know. According to the Swedish magazine, the V90 will be 4.96 m long and have a wheelbase of 2,97 m, or 15 cm longer than the current V70. As a proof that the Swedish people know what they do and have a fantastic good taste, station wagons are very popular there. And the V70 was the best selling vehicle there for many years. We do not doubt the V90 may have the same success there.

The new station wagon will be present at the Geneva Motor Show, in March. It will have the same engine offer of the S90, or else, three options, all of them with a base 2.0 4-cylinder engine called Drive-E:  a turbocharged only variant, pumping out 197 kW, called T5, a turbocharged and supercharged version that delivers 236 kW called T6 and the plug-in hybrid T8, which generates 303 kW. More engines will probably be offered in the future, such as diesel options and even a turbo 3-cylinder. The transmission will be the ZF 8-speed automatic already used by other vehicles of the brand, such as the S90 and the XC90, which are built over the Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) that will also underpin the V90.
