No teaser has survived so little hours as the one from Levante. This is the final car, with no camo, in its official pictures, released moments ago by Autoweek.nl. The Dutch magazine presents the car in a video, but we have taken screenshots in order to show it to you right away. With engine specifications.
The new Levante will be built over the Ghibli platform.
With such close relationship to the sedan, we said it would probably share its engines, a 3.0 turbocharged petrol V6 that delivers 240 kW or 300 kW and a 3.0 turbodiesel V6 that produces 202 kW. And we have nailed it, apart from the stronger petrol V6, which now produces 316 kW, instead of 300 kW. The diesel engine has no clues in what relates to its output, only concerning its 0 to 100 km/h acceleration times and top speed, respectively 6.9 s and 230 km/h. As for the petrol versions, the Levante 350 will accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.3 s and reach 243 km/h. The 430 will do the same in 5.2 s and keep on going until its speedometer marks 264 km/h. If it presents no distortions.
The transmission will most certainly be the 8-speed ZF automatic gearbox already used by other Maserati models. There are also rumorsof a 433 kW V8 for the top version, not yet confirmed by the images released by the Dutch magazine.
