Some of you may remember when we have announced Touring Superleggera would produce a new supercar. It was more than a month ago. And now this supercar has appeared. Even if some do not consider it super due to power (there are more powerful cars around, for sure), it is super, hyper beautiful. Meet the new Alfa Romeo Disco Volante Spyder!

Just like the original Disco Volante, the Disco Volante Spyder is built over the Alfa Rome 8C Competizione model. In this case, the 8C Spider. And it is powered by the same 4.7 V8 engine, able to produce 331 kW at 7,000 rpm and 480 Nm at 4,750 rpm. Its transmission is a 6-speed sequential gearbox and, apart from weight, the car must have similar measures to the ones presented by its hard top version: 4.62 m long, 2.03 m wide, 1.31 m tall and a wheelbase of 2.64 m.

With such a powertrain, the Disco Volante Spyder can reach 290 km/h of top speed and 100 km/h from 0 in 4.5 s.

The bad news about it is that it must cost a fortune. The very bad news is that even if you have the money, all 7 units that will be produced have already been sold. The good news is that you may eventually see one in the streets, if you are lucky. Or have the chance to see it at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, if you happen to be around.
