The second generation of the Mini Countryman is expected to be presented at the 2016 Paris Motor Show, but while it does not show up, some journalists are trying to get close to its final appearance with renderings. This is the case of our friends from, which have produced this image from what they already know about the new SUV.

It will be built over the new UKL platform, more precisely over the UKL2 variant, which presents a longer wheelbase. The engines should be the same ones used by the other Mini models, or the 1.5 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine and the 2.0 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine, both with different outputs depending on the version. The transmission options will be a 6-speed manual and an 8-speed automatic supplied by Aisin.
