Volvo presents the V40 with LED Thor hammers in its headlights

Volvo has released today the new appearance of its best-seller, the V40. The car has basically received new headlights, which feature the “Thor hammer” DRL LED signature, like the new XC90, S90 and V90, and a new front grille. Check the presentation video below.

Apart from these minor changes, the car has new colors (new Amazon Blue and Denim Blue, Bursting Blue, Mussel Blue and Luminous Sand; these last 3 were already offered in other Volvo models), new upholstery (City Weave), a new steering wheel option (Charcoal/Blond) and new interior panel trims (Milled Aluminium, Black Grid Aluminium and Stealth Aluminium). The changes include the V40 Cross Country.

Volvo will also offer the CleanZone system in the V40, which is a cleaning air technology that filters the air that goes into the cabin to remove harmful pollutants from it, ensuring passengers will get the best air possible to breathe.

The most important mechanical change has been a reduction on CO2 emissions for the D2 manual powertrain, which is now 89 g/km and been achieved with new tires.
