Automotive Passion (D.Benoit) has brought us the picture above clearly stating that Ferrari is preparing a LaFerrari Spider. This is probably one of the invitations selected Ferrari customers have received to know the car and have the right to buy it before anyone else. One of those cars that instantly become investment, such as the Bugatti Chiron and Koenigsegg Regera.
Since it will be based on LaFerrari, there is a lot we can already say about the car, if it is really going to be produced. The LaFerrari had a production run of only 499 units. It was 4.70 m long, 1.99 m wide, 1.12 m and had a wheelbase of 2.65 m. It’s curb weight was 1,585 kg. It was powered by a 6.3 V12 engine that delivered 588 kW at 9,000 rpm and 700 Nm at 6,750 rpm. It was aided by a HY-KERS system that increase total power to 708 kW and 900 Nm. Compare the drawing on the box to the side view of a LaFerrari.
The LaFerrari was able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.7 s, to 200 km/h in less than 7 s and to 300 km/h in 15 s, with a top speed of more than 365 km/h. It is considered as the fastest Ferrari ever built. Would Ferrari be considering the same experience in a roofless environment? Let’s wait and see!
