Genesis presents the New York Concept at the right spot

Genesis has presented its newest concept at the New York Auto Show. And it has named it in a not very creative way: New York Concept. At least the car has been introduced in the right place. And Hyundai’s luxury brand seems to be willing to introduce its smaller model, below the G80 and the G90. And it may be named… G70. Not very creative, either.

These very fake movement photographs try to show a dynamic vehicle. We are not sure if the concept is a working prototype, but Genesis claims it is equipped with a 2.0 4 cylinder GDi engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission. The brand says the concept is a hybrid, with a total output of 180 kW and 353 Nm, but spends no more words on technical descriptions.

The interior is sophisticated and presents a 21-inch 4K screen that works as an instrument panel. And this is pretty much all that is worth noting about the concept. When it reveals the production version of this vehicle, Genesis will place it to compete with Audi A4, BMW 3-Series, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Cadillac ATS, Jaguar XE and Lexus IS.
