We have already revealed pictures of the restyled S10 and the new Trailblazer. But now GM has made them official at the Bangkok Motor Show with the show cars Colorado Xtreme, which you may also call simply S10, in many markets, and Trailblazer Premier, a high-end Trailblazer with the new front end and the new interior. Check the Colorado Xtreme first.
The heavily modified Colorado does not present anything that is technically relevant apart from the restyling, which has mostly affected the front end. The Chevrolet Colorado/S10 simple cab is 5.37 m long, 1.88 m wide, 1.79 m tall and has a wheelbase of 3.10 m. The double cab is 5.35 m long and 1.82 m tall, preserving the other measures. In Brazil, where it is also produced, it is equipped with two flex engines (petrol and ethanol), a 108 kW 2.4 4-cylinder and a 152 kW 2.5 direct injection 4-cylinder, and a 147 kW 2.8 4-cylinder turbodiesel. Now let’s see the new Trailblazer.
The Trailblazer is 4.88 m long, 1.90 m wide, 1.85 m high and has a wheelbase of 2.85 m. In Brazil, it uses 2 engine options: a 2.8 4-cylinder turbodiesel that generates 147 kW at 3,600 rpm and 500 Nm at 2,000 rpm and a 3.6 V6 that delivers 204 kW at 6,400 rpm and 350 Nm at 3,700 rpm. Both of them rely on a 6-speed automatic transmission.
There is word of a new entry-level version, equipped with the same 152 kW flex 2.5 direct injection 4-cylinder engine that powers the S10, but not yet confirmed.
Since they are show cars, there is no word on the production version sales, but the restyled SUV and midsize pick-up will probably be released in the first semester of the year. Expect for the new vehicles in your market in a matter of weeks or a couple of months, at most.
