The Italian website OmniAuto has taken its chances at trying to guess what the 7th generation of the Ford Fiesta will look like. Expected to appear in the end of this year, probably at the Paris Motor Show, the new B segment hatchback will only be for sale in 2017.
According to the Italian website, the new Fiesta will resemble the Ford Focus and the Ford Mondeo/Fusion. And will have to suit most markets in which it is currently sold, such as Europe, USA and South America, what makes its conception a lot harder under the One Ford plan. It will be a wider car, in order to offer more room in the cabin, but it will not be much longer than the current Fiesta, which is a little under 4 m.
The front end will be clearly inspired by the Mondeo/Fusion, while the proportions of the new car will be similar to the ones Focus presents. In other words, although it will not be longer, the 7th generation Fiesta will look bigger and lower.
Expect the new car to use the 1.0 EcoBoost engine, the 1.5 TDCi 4 cylinder turbodiesel engine and possibly a RS version with 184 kW.
