BMW 1 Series Sedan puzzle: join the pieces to check the new car

Talented car designers all over the world will surely pick this puzzle to assemble this weekend. It is composed by patent images of the new BMW 1 Series Sedan, revealed by Autoforum.cz. They are very similar to the car BMW has revealed at the 2016 Ghangzhou Auto Show, the Concept Compact Sedan. This should help these guys reveal the final forms of the production version of the car. Check all the pieces in the images below.

Yes, the doors and the front structure of the car are missing, but this is the part in which the Concept Compact Sedan can help. The headlights and the tail lights have been fully revealed by the patent images, as well as the front and rear bumpers.

The disappointment comes from the fact that this new B segment car will surely use the UKL2 platform, used by the Mini Clubman, the 2 Series Active Tourer and the BMW X1. Since it has a 2.67 m wheelbase, we can expect the future 1 Series Sedan to have the same measure, as well as the three-cylinder 1.5 turbo petrol engine and the four-cylinder 2.0 turbo petrol engine on more expensive versions. We may bid farewell to the rear-wheel drive 1 Series. What a pity…
