Citroën present the C4 Picasso and C4 Grand Picasso restyling

The second generation Citroën C4 Picasso and the C4 Grand Picasso was presented in Brazil in October 2015. Even being presented in 2013. This is the sort of delay that charges a high price, as Citroën has shown today with the restyling of its C-segment minivans. The mid cycle restyling, by the way. Check the silly video below to see the major changes.

As you may have noticed, they are restricted to the front and rear end of the minivans. There is no change in engines or transmissions. The major changes relate to a hands-free tail gate opening for the C4 Grand Picasso.

The C4 Picasso is 4.43 m long, 1.83 m wide, 1.63 m tall and has a wheelbase of 2.79 m.

The C4 Grand Picasso, on the other hand, is 4.60 m long, 1.83 m wide, 1.64 m tall and has a wheelbase of 2.84 m. Both are built over the EMP2 modular platform and use the 96 kW 1.2 PureTech engine, the 121 kW 1.6 THP engine, the 1.6 BlueHDi with 2 outputs (73 kW and 88 kW) and the 11 0 kW 2.0 BlueHDi engine. Transmissions include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

Considering the C4 Picasso and the C4 Grand Picasso are produced only at the Vigo plant, in Spain, the changes will soon reach all other markets in which the minivan is sold. And the ones that have already been sold with the former appearance will rapidly devaluate, contributing a little more with Citroën’s bad fame of not retaining value for its cars. Especially when they are imported, in markets such as Brazil.
