In an interview to Automobile, Sergio Marchionne, who is now also Ferrari CEO, has confirmed that the LaFerrari will have a Spider version. His words to the magazine have been precisely these ones: “And by the way, the only future product connected to LaFerrari is the Spider. Which is no secret since potential customers have already been approached.”
MotorChase has brought you this story almost a month ago, showing the presentation box Ferrari has probably sent its target customers. The LaFerrari had a production run of only 499 units. It was 4.70 m long, 1.99 m wide, 1.12 m and had a wheelbase of 2.65 m. It’s curb weight was 1,585 kg. It was powered by a 6.3 V12 engine that delivered 588 kW at 9,000 rpm and 700 Nm at 6,750 rpm. It was aided by a HY-KERS system that increase total power to 708 kW and 900 Nm.
The LaFerrari was able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.7 s, to 200 km/h in less than 7 s and to 300 km/h in 15 s, with a top speed of more than 365 km/h. It is considered as the fastest Ferrari ever built. Now we just have to wait on the official information about the fastest drop top Ferrari ever built!
