This is what a Ford Ka+ ST would look like, according to Theophilus Chin

After the Brazilian developed Ford Ka has been introduced to Europe, the designer Theophilus Chin has toyed with the idea of an ST version of the econobox. And these are the renderings of such a vehicle.

While in Brazil this hatchback is called solely Ka, the European version, exported from India, is named Ka+. It is 3.89 m long, 1.70 m wide, 1.53 m tall and has a wheelbase of 2.49 m.

In Brazil, it is sold with a 1.0 3-cylinder engine that delivers 63 kW and a 1.5 Sigma engine that pumps out 81 kW (on ethanol in both cases). In Europe, it uses a 1.2 Duratec engine that delivers 51 kW and 63 kW. An ST version would have to offer much more than that. A suitable engine for the little car would be the 1.0 EcoBoost engine, which produces 92 kW at 6,000 rpm and 170 Nm from 1,400 rpm up to 4,500 rpm. But it would be much better with the same engine that powers the Fiesta ST, the 1.6 EcoBoost, able to produce up to 147 kW. The problem is that it could never get this engine in order not to compete with its bigger brother. Even because it would be cheaper…
