Mercedes-Benz teases its electric SUV before the Paris Motor Show

It is not only Volkswagen that wants to defy Tesla as the king of electric cars. Mercedes-Benz will attack with a new SUV to compete with the Model X and it will anticipate the machine with a concept at the Paris Motor Show. You can see it in the image above and also on the video below.

The concept presents no rear-view mirrors, only cameras. There is no front grille, but some light lines that makes us think of one. And it has something that seems to be a “floating” central console, but we are not very sure on what it is.

Mercedes-Benz promises the production version of the SUV will be ready by the end of the decade and that it will have a 500 km range. As we can see, no one is ready so far to market electric vehicles like Tesla, what preserves the good head start the American company currently has. Paris will allow us to see the whole electric SUV in a couple of days.
