Volkswagen teases its new Volks-Elektro-Wagen for Paris

Volkswagen released today the first images of its Volks-Elektro-Wagen, as we have told you some days ago. The problem is that it has only presented pieces of it, the ones you see in this page. And some of these images confirm the rendering Autopista.es published yesterday. Check it below.

The company claims it will be so revolutionary as the Beetle and the Golf were when they were released. But what Volkswagen really expects is that it sells just as much as its predecessors. Here are the images released by Volkswagen.

As we have reported before, the car has a more rounded shape than the Golf, although these images give the impression that Volkswagen tried to make a mix of both models on the Volks-Elektro-Wagen. Look at its apparently edgy rear.

Seen from above, the rear seems to have a C column that is square, but the black element of design makes the overall shape rounder. And the recharging plug seems to go on the rear spoiler, an unusual place to put it if the official release confirms it.

All we know so far about this vehicle is that it will use the MEB platform, that it will offer a 400 km range and that Volkswagen has high expectations about it. Let’s see if it will be up to all of them at the Paris Motor Show.
