VW T-Cross is introduced in Europe with a €17,975 price tag

The new Volkswagen T-Cross was supposed to be presented to the whole world at the same time, but its presentation took place in three different places. First, in Shanghai. Then, in Amsterdan. Now, it is happening in São Paulo, Brazil, with a slightly different version for South American markets. The car has a larger wheelbase, at 2.65 m, while the European T-Cross has a 2.56 m wheelbase. Apart from that, the car is almost the same everywhere.

In Europe, the new T-Cross is 4.11 m long, 1.75 m wide, 1.56 m tall and it has a 385 l luggage compartment. It will be powered by two petrol engines and a turbodiesel. The petrol engines are a 1.0 TSI that delivers 70 kW or 85 kW. The weakest one uses a 5-speed manual, while the 85 kW version can have either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DSG transmission.

The 1.5 TSI can produce 110 kW and is mated exclusively with the DSG gearbox. The 1.6 TDI, with its 70 kW, can have a 5-speed manual or the 7-speed DSG. In Germany, the cheapest one will cost €17,975.
